The sort of family-run Italian restaurant people think has disappeared: warm, traditional and wonderfully unpretentious. The food ranges from freshly prepared pizzas and pasta to proper Italian dishes and homemade desserts, still brought around for you to choose from. Children adore it, adults return to it, and its wisteria-clad setting opposite the open forest makes the walk there almost as lovely as the meal.
Visit La PergolaA home with a story
Built in 2000, Cedar House sits in the middle of approximately three-quarters of an acre, once part of the grounds of Stydd House further up the road.
That history gives the garden its established feel: beautiful mature trees, including a magnificent London plane, generous lawns and the sort of privacy that takes decades to create. We have lived here for twelve very happy years. It has been a special family home in every sense, and leaving it will be a real wrench.
